What do you do when you're afraid to move forward, hindered by not being able to stay where you are nor having the luxury of going back? Well today I found out---you fall and fall hard. Like knees crackin' on the pavement, you hit feeling in every single membrane of your core, the agony of bone connecting to concrete, as you scream out, insert explicative here, concluding with you experiencing the agony. Other hard hits. You get run over (sometimes literally, others mentally, emotionally). You cuss somebody out; yo girl, yo ace, turns out to be the one spreading the rumor you told her not to tell no body. Folk stop talkin' to you at work for 'no reason'. You get cut off on the freeway, so you chase them down-yet you end up getting the speeding ticket. You eat a gallon of ice cream to alleviate the suffering.
Then Karma steps in.
These bumps happened cause it was time for a re-sharping, a transformation, you had to be "forced" into because you did not like, as I did not like, having to see the truth. Jack Nicholson yelled out, "You can't handle the Truth!!!" But fact is, you can whether you realize it or not. Fore, in all the above scenarios each of us is being handed a snap shot of where we are and an opportunity to choose a different course of motion, by not following the e-motion to something that will cause harm, the next time around. That's the function of Karma in motion, which gives us another chance to learn the lesson we did not think we could learn, however had to learn to graduate, move, to the next level.
So next time you're hard hit, and we all will be, take a moment. Breathe. By not responding immediately to the circumstance this buys you time not to react which allows your mind, your maturity, to respond by letting go, giving you a chance to step way to gain perspective. NEVER cuss somebody out. NEVER chase any one on the freeway-I've done it, there's no pay off. Go deaf to the enticing urge whispering in your ear from Ego a.k.a your pride that wants you to go off-DON'T! DON'T ever allow yourself to engage in negative behavior other peoples actions are setting or creating; that's not your business MOVE ON. Fore you and I have a choice, we ALWAYS have a choice and if we choose poorly, the fault is solely our own.
That's why I choose the picture above I took of the stairs. They force you to look up. Always chose to look up by looking within your Self. Make choices supporting keeping you at higher state of being. If any of the above things occur, step away, slow down, "Allow yourself to relax with a sense of ease" this from Robin Downes my virtual Yoga Instructor now since she's on the East Coast, I'm on the West. This is wonderful the way you picked us up, after knowing we sometimes hit a bump in the road and sometime fall down.

Sending positive and prosperous vibes - - - Robin
Well said, still trying very hard every day to fight those urges to go off. Sometimes I am successful, most times I'm not. Turning the other cheek is a learned skill that I'm not very good at. Getting tired of the struggle though so I'm choosing to stop fighting all together.
